I Won A Hazel Hipster Pattern

Hey folks, I've been lazy for a few days now. No blogging inspiration to speak of. I've been nursing my right elbow, too. I've either got bursitis in it, or I've pulled something loose. It hurts like crazy, but N E Way, let me tell you the good news.

I WON a pattern give-away. That's right me, I WON!! Here's how..

I signed up for a pattern give away over at Hooked On Needles. ...
Mary Grace was gracious enough to sponspor this great purse pattern give-away, and I won 1 of the patterns. I'm thrilled because I never win anything. The pattern came from Trish Preston over at twopeasinapoddesigns...

Mary Grace is a fantastic person and has great ideas with her sewing, crochet, and knitting talents and her videos are perfect for anyone wanting to learn to crochet, knit, or do different kinds of hobbies.

So y'all head on over and take a look and see what I mean. She would love to have you drop by and leave her a message. Mary's a great teacher, and has lots to share with you.. Here's the link to her site

Well folks, until next time, y'all kiss the kids, and give some hugs away. You never know when someone might need a good huggin' and a friend.

Update.. I'm still looking forward to getting the purse pattern, but it's not come. Guess the mailman can't find my box

Pear Preserves

We had a great Sunday, and I have to show you what the Mr. and I made together.  We cut off pears on Saturday for our first try at making preserves, well we DID it.. We cooked them off Sunday after we got home from church... I know, I know, it's suppose to be a day of rest and reflection of things,  but sometimes life carries you in a different direction.  You deal with it, and move on to do other things.  That's the joy of life, or that's part of MY joy... Which I think my God understands.

Now we didn't get to many jars of pears this first time.  It was our experimental test run, but boy let me tell you, they taste yummy, and they look so darn pretty in the jars.  Yes we are going to can some more because the tree is still full of pears, but for now, here is a picture of some of the fruits of our labor.

Now don't those look yummy...and on a cold winter morning, it's gonna be good with hot biscuits and bacon.  My mouth is watering, and my eyes are delighted with the looks of them...

BTW,  you can CLICK the picture to make it larger.  I think larger shows these better..
So friends,  until next time,  y'all  kiss the kids, and hug someone that needs to know you care for them..  :)
